Hello again and thanks for being a subscriber to Cloud Database Report. And a special welcome to the many new subscribers — it’s great to have you in our inner circle!
It was just last month that I relaunched and centralized the Cloud Database Report on Substack, after having bits and pieces of this content on a variety of platforms (Cloud Wars, MailChimp, Simplecast, etc.)
One of the things I like about Substack is that there is a lot of excellent content by independent writers with fresh perspectives. So every once in a while, I may share some of the articles I’m reading, as they may be of interest to you as well.
Following are some of the things I’ve reading lately with a few words of context.
The format of Technically is explanatory writing on technical topics. I’ve been writing myself about GraphQL, so I thought this article would be timely to share. Justin also did a piece recently on “What is dbt.” So if you like this, you might want to check that one out too.
Machined is a new Substack blog and podcast site by Dan Costa, the former editor in chief of PCMag.com. Dan is focused on AI, the metaverse, and automation.
Benn Stancil is the voice behind all things Benn: Benn.company, Benn.ventures, etc. In this post, he does a deep dive on Snowflake’s just-announced acquisition of Streamlit.
If you live in the world of cloud (and we all do!), you should probably be familiar with Jamin Ball, a venture capitalist who provides weekly analysis on the ups and downs of the enterprise software/SaaS market.
