Join Me Today with Cockroach Labs, Couchbase, Redis, SingleStore, and Yugabyte!
Hi everyone. Today in my role as senior analyst with Acceleration Economy, I will be hosting a digital event called the Cloud Database Battleground, where we will hear presentations from five leading cloud database providers: Cockroach Labs, Couchbase, Redis, SingleStore, and Yugabyte.
The event starts at 11am ET, so there’s still to join us. Registration is free, and you can sign up here:
I will have more to share after the Battleground.
Here are the questions that each vendor will answer:
What’s next?
I’ve got a lot of things cooking here at the Cloud Database Report. Yesterday, Firebolt, a cloud data warehouse startup, announced that has received $100 million in Series C funding, bringing its total to $269 million and a $1.4 billion unicorn valuation.
Notably, Firebolt named a new CTO Mosha Pasumansky, who was previously a principle engineer with Google Cloud’s BigQuery team.
I have talked to Firebolt CEO and co-founder Eldad Farkash twice in the past year, so I will have some thoughts to share about this soon. In the meantime, here’s Firebolt’s formal announcement.
Podcast with Teradata
The next Cloud Database Report podcast will be with Teradata SVP Ashish Yajnik, which is sure to be interesting. I’m planning to get that out next week, so stay tuned.
That’s all for now. Have a great day and hope to see you at the Cloud Database Battleground.
