Welcome to premier edition of the Cloud Database Report—and thank you for joining us!

We have lots of news and analysis on the cloud database market to share, but let’s start with a word about what to expect from this new media platform and our commitment to you.
 
The Cloud Database Report’s mission is to cover the exciting and fast-moving cloud database market from the point of view of enterprise customers. We will analyze and report on cloud database providers, their platforms, real-world use cases, and the business value they provide.
 
We will strive always to be fair and accurate in our analysis, to tell it like we see it, and to be transparent about our business relationships.
 
What exactly is the Cloud Database Report? Our content will be packaged and delivered as in-depth reports, news articles, and in this biweekly newsletter. We will do a little podcasting as well. With this week’s launch, it’s the full spectrum.
 
The Cloud Database Report will be a mix of old-school journalistic reporting and industry analysis that draws on my first-hand industry experience at Oracle, IBM, and MongoDB.
